Chennai box office (July 18 to 20)

Tuesday, 22 July, 2008, 06:09

Dasavatharam has fallen to the number two position. At number three is The Dark Knight, which grossed a record $ 158 million at the US box-office last weekend. But the critically acclaimed superhero film is faring just OK in Chennai, where the Tamil and English versions opened in 11 screens, because the audience did not like the Joker dominating—which meant less of heroics and more of dialogues.Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na continues to remain rock steady at the fourth position, while Kismat Konnection, thanks to its fantastic one-day opening, managed to squeeze itself into the fifth place.Note : Ratings are based on the box office collections and the cost of the film
