Sequels of popular movies work big time, as proved by In Ghost House Inn, the part 3 to Harihar Nagar. The Lal directed film has turned out to be the biggest box-office hit of the year, and has collected a record distributorís share of Rs 2.47 Crore in two weeks from 80 odd screens, and is clearly the number one at the KBO. In Ernakulam from Shenoys and Padma the film has taken a share of Rs 19 lakhs in 14 days.
Way down at number two is Suresh Gopiís Janakan. Due to Mohanlalís cameo appearance the film took, an opening, but has since fallen badly. In the third position is the first of the summer releases Prithvirajís Thanthoni, which took a fantastic opening but fell subsequently.
At number four is Happy Husbands, the super hit of the year which has crossed a distributors share of over Rs 2.5 Crore in 75 days in Kerala. Mammoottyís Pramani is a washout and is in the fifth position.
