Vijay’s Sura has been scathed by the critics and the film carries mixed reports. However the film has managed to stay afloat in its second week at the number one position mainly because new releases were also weak. At number two is Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam, which is just average as it does not have star presence. Further the audiences are confused whether it is homage or a spoof to cowboy films of yester years. In the third place is Paiyaa, which is holding on and at number four is Housefull which is steady. In the fifth position is Kutty Pisasu, due to the large number of screens it managed to get.
