Box office reports
It was a great weekend for movies at the CBO thanks to the big Diwali weekend. The big news is that Rajinikanth’s Enthiran, which was ruling the box office for five weeks in a row, has been replaced by his son-in-law Dhanush’s Uthamaputhiran.

The Tamil remake of Telugu film Ready took approximately Rs 58 lakhs from 18 Chennai screens. Family audiences seem to have liked the film.

At number two is Enthiran, which is holding on well especially at Chennai multiplexes.

In third position is Prabhu Solomon’s Mynaa, which is being appreciated and liked by the youth. It may turn out to be Diwali’s sleeper hit, as word of mouth is very encouraging.

Va Quarter Cutting carries mixed reports and has taken an average opening and is at number four.

Boss Engira Bhaskaran is at fifth place.
