An outstanding film in all respects. Amongst Bhansali’s best works.
Generous usage of English language, which curtails its reach to an extent. Also, city-centric appeal.
BO verdict: :Collected approx. Rs. 14.50 cr. nett in its opening weekend. While the film showed a day-wise escalation in business, the numbers are far from satisfactory (in fact, way below the mark), since the costs are on the higher side. The film has performed better at major metros, but the terrific appreciation hasn’t translated into big numbers. Ideally, the film should’ve had a Rs. 20 cr. + weekend, despite a slow start.
BO verdict : Was the first choice of moviegoers during the festive weekend. The film collected approx. Rs. 8 cr + on Friday, approx. Rs. 13 cr on Saturday and approx. Rs. 11 cr on Sunday. The opening weekend total stands at approx. Rs. 32 cr. to Rs. 33 cr. nett, which is fantastic

BO verdict : Had a shaky start on Friday [approx. Rs. 2.75 cr], picked up rapidly on Saturday [approx. Rs. 8 cr], but fell short of expectations on Sunday [approx. Rs. 6 cr]. The 3-day total stands at approx. Rs. 16.75 cr, which is disappointing for an Akshay Kumar starrer. Since the film had opened in the festive week, it should've packed at least Rs. 25 cr + in its opening weekend
