Films like Arjunan Sakshi, Gaddamma and Race fell flat. Dileep's Christmas release Marykundu Oru Kunjadu still rules Kerala and is in the number one position. In 63 days, the film has collected a distributor's share of Rs 5.31 crore, which is phenomenal by any yardstick. In Ernakulam Padma it has taken Rs 32 lakh, while at the multiplexes (Cinemax and Q Cinema) it has taken a share of approximately Rs 50 lakh. From Thiruvananthapuram Anjali, the film has taken a share of Rs 30 lakh. Mary... is a blockbuster and may take a share of Rs 8 Crore plus from Kerala. At number two is Makeup Man, the Jayaram film that took a decent opening in Kerala by taking a share of Rs 1.22 crore in the first week.At number three is Traffic, the offbeat film from Rajesh Pillai. In fourth place is Prithviraj's Arjunan Sakshi, which turned out to be a damp squib. And for the sake of a countdown, at number five is Gaddamma.
