Rango has best opening of the year

The Paramount film, featuring Johnny Depp as the voice of a Wild West chameleon sheriff, is the first animated feature from Industrial Light and Magic, the special effects studio founded by George Lucas in 1975. Universal's mind-bending thriller The Adjustment Bureau, starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, earned $21.2 in 2,800 domestic locations. It had a worldwide opening of $31.4 million. The top five movies at U.S. and Canadian theaters Friday through Sunday as compiled by Hollywood.com are:
