Box office reports
The new Tamil releases have not created any stir at the CBO. Vishal`s Sun Pictures marketed Prabhu Deva directed Vedi has opened at the number one position. The film took only a very average 75 % opening and carries mixed reports.

At the number two position is the rock steady Engeyum Eppodhum, which is turning out to be a super hit. And in the third place is UTV`s Muran which has not been able to convert the good word of mouth reviews to box-office collections.

John Abraham`s action packed Force, a remake of Suriya`s super hit Khakka Khakka, has taken a decent opening and has grossed nearly Rs 18 lakhs and is in the fourth place. At number five is Vaagai Sooda Vaa, which has sunk without a trace.
