Kerala Box-Office is back with a bang. Films released between March 9 and April 9, figure in the list. KBO got a big boost thanks to Bobban Kunchacko`s Ordinary, which went on to become an extraordinary hit.
Dileep`s Easter release Mayamohini has taken an extraordinary opening. Debutant director Sugeeth`s Ordinary has turned out to be an extraordinary hit. The film has taken the Malayalam film industry by storm. It has once again proved that good content and packaging irrespective of stars is a winner.
Ordinary in three weeks has taken a share of Rs 3.52 Crores from 70 screens, which is phenomenal by any yardstick. It has already been declared a blockbuster of gargantuan proportion and in the number one position and may touch Rs 6 Cr share from Kerala theatricals.
At number two is Dileep`s Mayamohini which has grossed Rs 90 lakhs in its opening day (April 7), and ensured a very good opening.
In the third place is the Mammootty-Suresh Gopi multi-starrer King & Commissioner, which has fizzled out. Prithviraj-Sasikumar Masters at number four turned out to be lukewarm. At number five is Ee Adutha Kalathu, which is a city based hit.
