Chennai Box-Office (June 1-3)

UTV`s Rowdy Rathore has grossed an amazing Rs 45 lakhs from 14 screens in Chennai alone. It is the best ever Akshay Kumar opening in Chennai. The star joins the illustrious company of Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan whose films have opened at the number one slot.UTV has also created history as number one and two slots for the first time are occupied by their films. At number two is Sundar C`s super hit comedy Kalakalappu and in the third place is Sivakarthikeyan`s Manam Kothi Paravai which released in a large number of screens but carries negative reports.In the fourth place is Men In Black 3, which in its second week is not bad. And at number five is the English dubbed version of the Indonesian action film The Raid Redemption.
