Box office reports
Adam Sandler has risen to the top of the box office with his animated comedy Hotel Transylvania, which debuted with $42.5 million.
Opening at No. 2 with $20.8 million for the weekend was Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's sci-fi thriller Looper.
