The theatres in Kerala opened last Friday (Nov 9) after a one week strike. The strike was unnecessarily thrust on the audiences who had made Lal Jose`s Aayalum Nanum Thammil (ANT) a hit. Its producer Prem Prakash said he lost over a crore due to the strike.
Anyway after the theatres re-opened, Dileep`s My Boss and M Mohanan`s 916 opened on Saturday. The Dileep film carries good reports and has taken an opening and is at the number one position.
Prithviraj`s ANT is at number two due to its first two weeks opening. In the third place is VK Prakash`s Trivandrum Lodge, which is steady and has collected around Rs 18 lakhs share from Padma in Ernakulam.
At number four is M Mohanan`s 916, which got good WOM (word of mouth) and decent collections. Mammootty`s Jawan of Vellimalai has bombed and is in the fifth place.
