Chennai Box-Office - Apr 4 to 6

The Chennai Box-Office took a flying start at the summer box-office, with the release of Sivakarthikeyan's Maan Karate. The film which opened on Friday (Apr 4) had a roaring time at the CBO.Maan Karate, which carries mixed reports, has taken an extraordinary opening. The film is reported to have grossed around Rs 10 Crore from 352 screens in Tamil Nadu. The film has a U certificate and has got entertainment tax exemption, which means distributors share will be huge.From Chennai city Maan Karate has grossed an amazing Rs 1.41 Crore, which is huge by any yardstick and is clear number one by a mile. The biggest screens in multiplexes in Chennai like Sathyam big screen reported 100% for the weekend.Way down at number two is Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which has taken a decent opening. In the third place is Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavanikalum, which is being liked by multiplex audiences.And at number four is Cuckoo, which is drawing crowds in multiplexes. At number five is Nedunchalai.
