Monday, 2 June, 2014, 03:03

The May 30 to June 1 weekend at the CBO was the last before the schools reopened. The footfalls at the multiplexes were good as most families wanted to chill out at the movies before they returned to the normal grind. Add to that the IPL craze that came down after Chennai Super Kings got knocked out in the semi-final stage. The number one movie at the CBO this week is Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan, which got the family audiences. In second place is horror comedy Yaamirukka Bayamey, which is turning out to be a runaway super hit!And in third place is Hollywood action flick, X Men : The Days of the Future Past that continues to rock in its second week. The Telugu film Manam which entered its second week is doing very good business in Chennai city and suburbs. It is Nagarjuna’s highest collecting film. And at number five is Malayalam film Bangalore Days, which has taken a good opening in limited screens in Chennai.
