Box office reports

The monsoon hit Kerala with all its fury, and collections were at an all-time low. Added to that, during Ramadan fasting period many screens reported low occupancy.

However, the Ramzan releases brought some cheer to the box-office. Lal Jose directed Dulqer Salmaan-Unni Mukundan starrer Vikramadityan is the big winner at the Kerala box-office.

Vikramadityan as per trade sources has taken a share of around Rs 3.5 Crore in three weeks from Kerala. At Ernakulam Padma the film has netted Rs 24.5 lakhs in 21 days, which makes it the number one on KBO.

In the second position is Suriya's Anjaan which opened in 165 screens on Independence Day and is reported to have netted an awesome Rs 82 lakhs on day one of its release. Subsequently it fell on the second day due to bad word of mouth.

At number three is Anjali Menon's Bangalore Days, which continues to hold on strongly even after 85 days. The film is a mega blockbuster.

And in the fourth place is Mammootty's Manglish which is one of the actor's better films in recent times. Dhanush's Velai Illa Pattadhari had a decent run in Kerala and is at number five.
