Chennai Box Office - September 17 to 20

The Chennai box office is booming during the Vinayaga Chathurthi festival. The number one this week is the Nayanthara horror thriller Maya, which has taken a good opening. The film carries rave reviews and has done well over the weekend. In Chennai city it got bigger screens and prime shows.At number two is GV Prakash's adult comedy Trisha Illana Nayanthara, which has become a rage among the youth and took a very good opening throughout Tamil Nadu. The film due to smaller screens and limited shows in Chennai city is at number two position.Thani Oruvan continues to rock at number three and can now be called a super hit. In the fourth position is the horror film with a social message Strawberry. And in the fifth place is the Telugu blockbuster Bhale Bhale Maaadivoi.
