Chennai Box-Office - Apr 2 to 5

Thursday, 1 January, 1970, 05:30

The Easter Box-Office rocked. It was a four-day weekend, and multiplexes had good footfalls. It was a neck to neck race between Karthi’s Komban and Udhayanidhi’s Nanban, which got the bigger screens. However, Komban edged past Nanbenda and is No.1 because it released in Chennai city a day before with evening and night shows, and therefore bagged the lead.Nanbenda got all prime screens and released as announced on April 2. It has wowed the family audiences and is at No.2. The film carries mixed reports. In the 3rd place is Hollywood action entertainer Fast and Furious 7, which got a large number of screens as it was released in QUBE and UFO in 3D English and Tamil. The film being screened in smaller screens of multiplexes is going 100% full. And at No.4 is Vijaykanth's son Shanmughapandian's Sagaptham, which has not even taken an opening. Jai's Valiyavan is turning out to be a colossal flop and is at No.5.
