Boys, a movie featuring Sandalwood’s Action Queen Malashree is currently in Mysore for shooting. Producer Shankar Gowda is directing the movie under his own banner. It happens to be his maiden movie as a director.

Comedians Ravishankar, Tabala Nani and Bullet Prakash are part of the support star cast. Arjun Janya will compose the music for the movie while Rajesh is the cinematographer. Shankar Gowda is trying a new experiment, as he has not directed any movie in the past.

Very rarely have producers turned directors Sandalwood. Incidentally, it is the vice-versa or star actors turning into directors. According to Shankar, he had dreamt of becoming a director and it is turning into a reality through Boys.

Shankar has written the story and the screenplay for Boys, which is a youth-oriented comedy movie. It will be shot in a single schedule over a period of 50 days. A couple of months ago, Shankar applied makeup for the role of a cop in Goa, which he is also producing.

Now he is donning the hat of a director. It looks like he is on a roll playing multiple roles in Sandalwood. Apparently, Shankar, who had written the story, was looking for a suitable director for the project.

After a long time, Malashree will be seen in a different role. It is to be seen if Shankar will be successful in his latest endeavour. Malashree is joined by five new comers, including emerging actress Akhila Kishore, in the star cast.
