Burfee (not a remake of the Hindi blockbuster) featuring Diganth Manchale and Bhama, has completed dubbing.

The movie is likely to be released in May while the audio release is set to happen in April. The movie, which is directed by Shekar, has set very high expectations considering that Diganth is making his debut in Hindi films shortly.
Burfee, which went on the floors last year, took a long time for completion because of various reasons. Arjun Janya has composed music for the film, which comprises six different tracks. Well-known lyricists, Jayanth Kaikini, Ghouse Peer and Kaviraj, have penned lyrics for the tracks.

The movie is a based on a romantic team and for the first time Diganth is paired with Bhama.  The project was announced around the time Hindi movie Burfee was released. This led to speculations that the movie was a remake of the Hindi film. But Diganth made it clear that the Kannada version was based on an original story.

Burfee will also see Diganth performing a few stunts though the actor is considered a romantic icon in Kannada movies. Well-known stunt director Ravi Verma is supposed to have choreographed a few stunning action sequences. The star cast includes Harish Raj, Dilip Raj, Suchendra Prasad, Pavithra Lokesh, Shankar Bhat and Samyukta Belawadi.

Harsha and Kambiraj have choreographed the songs for the movie. The songs were shot in various locations in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The movie could continue to maintain the demand for Bhama, who has been acting in a good number of Kannada movies.
