Casanovva all set for a big release

Director Rosshan Andrrews’ mega bucks extravaganza, Casanovva, with Mohanlal in the lead, is all set to hit the cinemas today.

With the exctiment at the zenith, the film is having a wide release, with more than 1000 shows on its first day.

Now, this is sure to create new box office records for initials in Malayalam.

The film, originally launched in 2007, is according the director, the costliest film ever made in Malayalam.

Confident group, which launched the film, was reportedly having second thoughts about the project midway and there have been several postponements of shooting, date hassles and shuffling of stars.

Finally, when the film is all set to reach the cinemas, Rosshan says he has shot the film in 81 days but has never compromised on its quality.

Rosshan is well known for his lavish making style but all three of his films – Udayananu Thaaram, Note Book and Ividam Swargamanu have won awards and were accedted by the viewers as well. The trailers and songs Casanovva have been huge hits and the expectations are sky high.
