Yogi’s much-awaited next movie, Jinke Mari, has been awarded the U/A certificate by the Regional Censor Board. The movie will be released across Karnataka and abroad on May 17.
Mahesh Balekundri is producing Jinke Mari under the banner of Peacock Cinemas and the movie title is borrowed from the hit dance number – Jinke Marina – from Yogi’s blockbuster movie Nanda Loves
Nanditha, released in 2008. That movie propelled Yogi into the top league of actors and he has never turned back since then. Consequently, the expectations from Jinke Mari are equally high.
The producer, who is well aware of the grammar of film-making, has even lent his voice to one of the tracks, Marubhoomi Aagide Ninna Manassu. Emerging music director Sai Karthik has composed five
tracks for the movie. Navin Kumar, who worked as an assistant to leading Kannada film directors, has become a full time director through Jinke Mari.
Sonia Gowda is paired opposite Yogi in the movie; this is her first movie opposite an A-list actor. The star cast includes Sharath Lohitashwa, Ramesh Bhat, Shobhraj, Ninasam Ashwath, Bullet Prakash, Jai Jagadish and Ruthu.
Yogi is eagerly looking forward to the release of Jinke Mari, as his previous two movies – Bangaari and Kalai Tasmai Namaha – did not perform well at the BO.
