Challenging Star Darshan`s Chingaari directed by Harsha is hitting the screens on 3rd February all over the state in around 140 theatres.

The film was expected to touch a theatre count of  more than 150 theatres, but with films like Upendra`s Aarakshaka, Sudeep`s Vishnuvardhana, Kho Kho and Sidlingu occupying many theatres in the state, Chingaari was able to manage around 140 theatres only.

Harsha describes Chingaari as the most stylish film in Darshan`s career and hopes multiplex audience would be more interested to see this film. The online bookings in the multiplexes seem good, though the trade always called Darshan as a single screen`s Box Office Sultan.

Chingaari tells another story as all the multiplexes are screening the film with more number of shows. Since the online booking at Cinemax has been quite good, the management is thinking of increasing the number of shows.

The INOX management is screening the film in all the three multiplexes and the good old PVR which is running the film in four shows is opening its online
booking on Thursday.

Already the distribution rights of Chingaari has been sold to Samarth Ventures for Rs Nine crores which is the highest  pre release price for a Darshan film. After the satellite and audio rights sales of the film, the producers have already made a profit of more than two to three crores, say trade analysts.

The producers have made good publicity arrangements for the film with good visual outdoor publicity taking the lead.

Flexes and vinyl banners can be seen around all the major centres like Bengaluru, Mysore.

Bengaluru`s model Deepika Kamaiah is the heroine of this film with actress Bhavana playing a special role. Hari Krishna is the music director while H.C.Venu is the cameraman.
