The recently released Romans had two convicts, who escaped from the cops, hiding themselves as Christian priests in a rural village.

In a case of mistaken identity the two manages to fool an entire parish making them believe that they were actually sent by the bishop.

Almost a week after the film's release, certain Christian groups have reportedly come out in the public condemning the way the church has been shown in the film.

There are certain issues like infightings between some bishops and so on, which could have irked some of the groups.

Romans has been directed by Boban Samuel and has Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon in the lead. The curious aspect here is that the film has heavily been inspired from a Hollywood movie titled We're No Angels, starring Robert De Niro and Sean Penn.
