The strike by the theatre owners in the state has been withdrawn.

Though the government has not agreed to accept any of the demands by the striking parties, the film exhibitors' federation decided to call off the strike.

It was almost certain that the strike would be withdrawn as Tamil superstar Vijay's Thuppaakki is ready for release and many of the theatre owners had already paid advances for the film.

Two Malayalam films, Jeethu Joseph's My Boss and M Mohanan's 916, will be at the theatres on Nov 10.

Shafi's 101 Weddings, which was announced for release on Nov 2 has been postponed now.
