The next big date in Kollywood is June 14. Two Tamil comedies have confirmed their release. UTV’s Sundar C directed comedy riot Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (TVSK) is going to clash head on with Vendhar Movies comedy entertainer Thillu Mullu.
Both TVSK and Thillu Mullu have been censored nearly three weeks before release and that too with a clean ‘U’ certificate. Both films are eligible for tax exemption and their target is the family audiences.
UTV’s TVSK directed by Sundar C has Siddharth, Hansika and Santhanam, while Vendhar Movies Badri directed Thillu Mullu has Shiva, Prakash Raj and Isha Talwar in the lead.
June 14 is said to be a good date, as even a biggie like Singam 2 has been trying to release on that day. But it now looks clear that Singam 2 will be pushed to end of June, as post-production work is still going on and film has to be censored.
Meanwhile within the trade, there is pressure to see that TVSK and Thillu Mullu do not clash. But both the producers refused to blink and say that they had announced the date first.
