What started as the poor cousin of The Office, an American TV show, which was in itself a remake of the British series, grew into a series worthy of respect and admiration. The show was called Parks and Recreation and like The Office, it too was made in the faux documentary style which made the latter famous.
The first season of the show was rather weak with a lot of criticism about the similarities to The Office, but the makers worked on fixing a lot of the flaws to make the following seasons more polished. And it paid off. Parks and Rec., as it was popularly called, went on to become an Emmy award winning series.
