Curtains down for IFFK 2012

The International Film Festival of Kerala 2012 at Thiruvananthapuram has come to a close.

This year's festival was known for some spectacular films and a relatively good arrangement.

Sta. Nina (Philippines) was adjudged the best film in the competition section. Francisca Silva won the best director award for Ivan's Woman (Chile).

Nitin Kakkar got the best debutant director for Filmistan. Audience award was won by Shutter, the Malayalam film directed by Joy Mathew.

FIPRESCI award for the best Malayalam movie has been won by Ithra Maathram, directed by K Gopinathan.

NETPAC award for the best Asian film has been won by K M Kamal's ID. Arunkumar Aravind's Ee Adutha Kalathu won the NETPAC award for the best Malayalam film.
