Darshan is Karnataka Health Ambassador

​Challenging Star Darshan is now the Health Brand Ambassador of the state.  

He has already promoted the government's health initiatives by participating in several TV commercials which are now being aired in various local language channels. 

He is also promoting other health based programmes. Karnataka health ministry is quite happy to have selected a star for promoting the health based programmes. Darshan has already appeared in various costumes peculiar to different areas of the state. 

In one television commercial, Darshan appears in a saffron turban on his head. The continuous telecast of the promotions also coincide with the release of the star's much awaited and hyped historical film Kranti Veera Sangolli Raayanna, which is based on life and times of a 19th Century freedom fighter Raayanna Sangolli. 

Recently, Darshan had also participated in promotional programme of the state government which was part of the Vajpayee Health Insurance Programme which is now extended for Kannadigas living in the border areas who are being treated in hospitals of the neighbouring states. 

Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar was present at a function where Darshan advised poor people to make use of this programme to get treatment for all their ailments. 

According to Health Secretary Madan Gopal, Darshan has agreed to be the Brand Ambassador for the state' health ministry free of cost. Darshan represents good health and energy. 

"He has agreed to spend three days in a month to promote all the health programmes of the state", says Madan Gopal.
