Movie titles have undergone a huge makeover these days, especially in Sandalwood. Names of cities, areas, famous personalities, foods have become common and now names of flowers have attracted the movie directors. Following this the movie title by name Dasavala (meaning hibiscus flower) has been in the news for quite some time now and is now ready for release.

Director cum actor Prem has pushed his director’s chair a little far and has taken the responsibility as an actor this time around. Dasavala which stars director-actor Prem is been directed by the action film maker M.S.Ramesh. Rangayana Raghu will also be seen in a very prominent role along with Prem.

The film produced by Anaji Nagraj, includes Malayalam actress Akshara Menon as the lead actress. Akshara earlier known as Aishwarya, rose to fame because of her performance in the bilingual film Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (TVSK) whose Telugu version is called Something Something.

Shot in and around tourist attractions of Karnataka like Badami, Aihole, Pattadakallu, Dasavala features Prem in the role of a tour guide and Akshara Menon in the role of a mentally challenged girl. Anitha Bhat, who had made her debut with Psycho in 2008, will be seen in an item number.

“Dasvala has an amazing script and there is a lot of scope for me to perform. To essay a character of a mentally challenged person is not easy and that’s why I took up the challenge. It was fun and an interesting experience for me and a treat to have worked in this film,” said the actress.
