The last minute confusion in KFCC on Thursday regarding the release of Badrinath is finally over.
Earlier on Wednesday, Kannada film producer and well known film distributor Ramu obtained a stay order against the release of the film citing reasons of non-payment of his dues from Madhu who is the co-producer of Badrinath.
Madhu had produced a film titled Independence Day in Kannada which was later dubbed to other languages. Ramu had distributed the film on refundable advance basis, but the film starring Suman and Arun Pandian fared badly in the Box office resulting in huge losses to the distributor.
Madhu had also promised to give distribution rights of Badrinath, but he did not keep his word.
This created panic in Hyderabad and representatives of Geetha Arts had to rush to Bengaluru to clear it.
Speaking to Sify Movies later, Ramu said that everything has been solved and that he has withdrawn his petition.
