Dhananjayan to produce Tumhari Sulu in Tamil, Jyothika on board

It’s official, Dhananjayan Govind’s BOFTA Media Works will be producing the Tamil remake of Tumhari Sulu. To be directed by Radha Mohan of Mozhi fame, Jyothika has been confirmed to reprise Vidya Balan’s role in Tamil.

Mahesh Muthuswami will be cranking the camera for the film and National Award winning editor Praveen KL will take care of the cuts. The principal shoot of the film will commence in May and Radha Mohan is said to be making necessary changes to suit the taste of the Tamil audiences.

Jyothika feels excited and honored to act in the Tamil remake of Tumhari Sulu, she says that it’s one of the lovely performances of Vidya Balan and calls it a lively, honest, and real film. 

Announcing the project, actor Suriya tweeted “Happy to announce that Director #RadhaMohan and Jo are working together again after #Mozhi Hoping to see the magic repeat. All the best to the entire Team and Producer @dhananjayang sir @BOFTAindia congratulations!”

In the remake, Jyothika will be essaying the role of a middle-class homemaker turned RJ who gets a chance to host a late night show on a popular FM channel.
