Sandalwood’s romantic icon Diganth Manchale, who has completed shooting for his latest movie, Burfee, has announced his next project – Ondooralli Obba Raja – which will be directed by Dinakar Toogudeep, brother of super star Darshan. Dinakar’s last movie, Saarathi, which had Darshan playing the lead role, was a blockbuster in 2011.
Dinakar has selected Rachita Ram, who debuted in Kannada films opposite Darshan’s in his latest movie, Bul Bul, as the heroine of Ondooralli Obba Raja. The movie has romance as the theme but will see Diganth perform some stunts.
The movie will go on the floors shortly and will be shot extensively in Karnataka with two songs in foreign locations. The selection of the rest of the star cast and the technical crew is going on. Dinakar has written the story for the movie and it is not a remake project.
Dignath is thrilled to be working under Dinakar Toogudeepa because the limited number of movies directed by him have been hits. Dinakar is known for taking the safe approach, including the necessary commercial elements, to make the movie lively. As expected, his favourite music composer V Harikrishna is expected to score music for Ondooralli Obba Raja.
Meanwhile, Diganth is awaiting the release of Burfee (not a remake of the hit Hindi movie by the same name) in which he is paired with Malayalam actress Bhaama. The actor was supposed to make his Hindi debut this month; however the project has been put on hold for a while.
