Director Pa Ranjith recently appreciated Nayanthara’s Aramm on Twitter. The Madras and Kabali director tweeted “Happy that Aramm has won. Teach and protest together. Thanks and congratulations to the director, film unit and ‘Thozhar’ Nayanthara”.
As Pa Ranjith didn’t mention the film’s director Gopi Nainar in his tweet, netizens started trolling the Madras director. There is an allegation that Madras was lifted from Gopi’s Karuppar Nagaram and hence, Ranjith feels awkward to mention the name of Aramm’s director in his Tweet.
Understanding the seriousness of the situation, Gopi has now sent a statement advising his well-wishers and fans to not hurt anyone. “Everyone has a right to criticize creative works. Ranjith and I have got a lot of duties to perform in the society. Importantly, it’s time for both of us to work together and it will help to unite everyone. But I will not allow any thoughts to ruin our relationship. If the thoughts of my well-wishers hurt anyone, conveying my sympathies to them”.
Meanwhile, in a recent media interaction, Gopi has confirmed that he has plans for Aramm 2 with Nayanthara and the script will talk boldly on more serious issues in the society.
