After Raanjhanaa, Anand L Rai's next film will be the Tanu Weds Manu sequel. Although he isn't sure when it would go on the floors, he has confirmed he will prepare the romantic-comedy for a 2014 release.
"The next one will be the sequel (of Tanu Weds Manu), but I don't know when will I start. Right now I am enjoying Raanjhanaa," he said.
Tanu Weds Manu was the love story of an NRI, played by R. Madhavan, and a feisty girl from Uttar Pradesh, essayed by Kangna Ranaut.
"The Tanu Weds Manu sequel will also be a love story. I will be releasing it next year," said the director and added: "I will do the sequel for sure. The same pair will be there."
On being asked why such a long gap between the two films, he explained: "On creative front, when I wanted to tell the story of Tanu Weds Manu, I did that...but after that, even though I had a story, I wanted to do Raanjahnaa."
