The furore over Sri Lanka's Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, derogatory remarks and picture of Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa writing a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has touched a raw nerve in Kollywood.
Today (Aug 4) the Tamil Nadu directors union and producers council will be protesting in front of Sri Lankan deputy high commission in Chennai. Director union has also invited all the actors, technicians and general public to take part in this protest.
"The humiliation meted out to the ruler is a humiliation to a citizen!" was the words director Jhananathan chose to describe the Sri Lankan army website's coward act of degrading the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
Jhananathan and the unit of Purampokku decided to stop it's shooting schedule on 4th of August and join the protest declared by the Directors union against the Sri Lankan government!
