The GOOD NEWS is that in the early hours of Thursday on Diwali Day (11 November) all the prints of five releases have the left labs after heated arguments between producers and financiers over last minute settlements.
Ajit can heave a sigh of relief as his Attakasam which was embroiled in deep financial mess just managed to make it to the cinema halls. The star had magnanimously agreed to pay a hefty amount to the producer for settling his liability to the financier.
Added to that Oscar Ravichandran, also gave a handsome amount to clear the Attakasam producer’s debt in lieu of the satellite rights of the film. So the Diwali releases have all made it to the theatres with morning shows which started at 8.30 am, in Chennai and surrounding areas.
In distant places like Madurai and Kovai the noon shows are likely to start by 1 pm.
