As Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan turned 47 on Friday, family, friends and fans pulled out all stops to make the actor's birthday a memorable one.
The entrance of Khan's bungalow in Mumbai was adorned with garlands and people from all walks of life waited outside his residence to catch a glimpse of the charming actor.
Khan came out of his house, much to their happiness and waved at his fans from the terrace.
Apart from his fans, Bollywood celebrities came in large numbers to celebrate the 'King of Bollywood's' birthday.
Director and close friend, Farah Khan, wished him a long life on his birthday.
"We just came to wish him, there is so much public. He is not celebrating, but we just came to wish him happy birthday. It is already 2:45 a.m, so now I am going back," she said.
Star struck fans screamed in excitement, as their happiness knew no bounds to see the actor in person.
"I just want to wish him a happy birthday. I have been staying in Mumbai for the last six years, but I never got an opportunity to come on his birthday. I thought of coming here at night and wishing him," said Yash, a fan.
According to reports, the actor's birthday will be a low-key affair this year, following the recent demise of veteran director Yash Chopra, who died of dengue.
The superstar has continued to rule the box office for almost two decades with over 70 films in several genres and has won the hearts of million fans with his charm and magnetic screen presence.
Khan has many blockbusters to his credit, including 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge', 'Dil To Pagal Hai', 'Darr', 'Veer Zaara' and many more. Film critics predict his upcoming release 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' directed by the late Yash Chopra to set the cash registers ringing at the box office. (ANI)
