Rik Mayall's World Cup anthem, which was apparently lost, will be entered in the Britain's pop charts, and the credit goes to his devoted fans who started a social media campaign post his death.
Official Charts Company said that the late comedian's 'Noble England', which was recorded for World Cup 2010 campaign but had failed to make the U.K. Top 40 list, is a definite hit this time, Contactmusic reported.
Fans had taken to social media post the 56-year-old star's unexpected death earlier this week, which apparently helped the song claim 38th rank on the chart.
The way the track is gaining popularity, it seems it could become the unofficial anthem for the England team in the Brazil World Cup, as there's no tournament anthem for the year 2014. (ANI)
