Kannada film producers refuse to learn from their experiences. In the past seven weeks more than twenty films have been released and none of them made any impact.
And every week two or three films are getting released. The collections for Olave Mandara is picking up slowly, though it is still doubtful whether the producer would be able to recover his full investment.
Besides the World Cup Cricket mania and the inertia towards newly released films with fresh faces are also making things complicated for many Kannada films. This Friday would see the release of four new Kannada films, some with new faces and some with experienced stars.
Pooja Gandhi's film Aaptha which has five glamour girls and a new actor Niraj Shah is getting released along with an action film Karthick, a comedy Take It Easy and Harish Raj's Gun.
Harish has directed his second venture Gun which is loaded with commercial elements. Hot girls Nikitha, Mallika Kapoor and Kiran are part of this film which has an item number with Simran.
Karthick is an action film featuring Karthick. He had earlier acted in another action based Kannada film Yuva by Narendra Babu which did not cut ice with the audience.
The film has been directed by Satheesh Shetty who is believed to have worked in many Hindi films as an associate and co-director. Archana Gupta is the heroine. Another small budget film Take It Easy is produced by Nargis Babu and directed by Anantha Padmanabha. Shashi Kumar, Abhijith, Arya and Anant Nag are in the lead roles in the film which is publicised as a comedy.
