It is the big Diwali weekend (Nov 1 to 3), time to watch biggies at the theatres. And traditionally the box-office booms during this festival season. The three Diwali releases this season are – Ajith’s Arrambam, Karthi’s All in All Azhaguraja and Vishal’s Pandiya Nadu.
The three Tamil films will occupy all the 900 odd screens in Tamil Nadu which can screen new releases. It means the lone Hindi biggie Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3 will get only limited acreens.
Ajith’s Vishnuvardhan directed Arrambam opened on Thursday (Oct 31) to a tumultuous welcome. The film is reported to have opened in nearly 400 plus screens for the first two days.
On Diwali day – November 2, Karthi’s All in All Azhaguraja and Vishal’s Pandiya Nadu will occupy a large number of screens. Krrish is getting only few small screens mainly in multiplexes.
It promises to be a cracker of a Diwali, this weekend.
