Will Kollywood come back to normalcy after the Endhiran Tsunami which hit the theatres on Oct 1?

The holiday season has started with the Pooja holidays, which will ensure increased collections at the box-office.

This Friday (Oct 15), there was to be seven Tamil releases, but at the last minute only five will make it to limited screens. Today’s new releases are Sathyaraj's Gowaravagal, Ochayee with newcomers, ex-heroine Jayachitra's son Amresh Ganesh's launch film Naane Ennul Illai, Sundar C and Vivek's long delayed Vaada and newcomer Vidharth being launched as an action hero with Ramanna playing villain in Thottupaar.

From Bollywood there is Priyadarshan's realistic Aakrosh, said to be inspired by Alan Parkar's Mississippi Burning and Mani Shankar's Phone Booth rip off Knock Out. Hollywood movies that are releasing this week are Going the distance and The American. NTR's mass masala Telugu actioner Brindavan is the other pooja attraction.
