Friday, November 30 will see a clash between two young upcoming Kollywood heroes- Arya versus Jeeva battle as their Oram Po and Rameswaram respectively are releasing along with Thangar Bachchan's off-beat Sathyaraj film Onbathu Rupa Note, and new director hero Jailani's Kelvikuri.
Arya needs a release badly, as his last film was Vattaram for Diwali 2006, which badly flopped creating a dent in his popularity. Since then a lot of new heroes have come into Tamil films as Arya was caught up with Bala's Naan Kadavul and Oram Po could not release due to producers financial problems. Now for Arya everything depends on Oram Po, which is said to be a different kind of commercial film.
Meanwhile Jeeva too needs a hit to sustain him in the highly competitive commercial Tamil cinema. His last release Katrathu Tamil (Tamil M.A) was a commercial disaster. Once again he is said to be doing a slightly off-beat film Rameswaram on Sri Lankan refugee issue.
Thangar Bachchan's off-beat Onbathu Rupa Note has Sathyaraj playing an old man and he is said to be brilliant. The film will have a limited release. Let us hope all the films will bring some cheer to the Tamil film industry, badly in need of hits.
