To say Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You is a runaway hit would be an understatement. It has taken over the world! It’s not a rage. It’s not a fad. It’s a movement, people! The song has got everyone grooving to it in unique ways. It’s got snooty musical purists who look down on ‘pop’ crooning it unabashedly. Why, it’s even being read out as poetry! By Rupert Grint, no less.

Shape of You is a song that just makes you move whether you want to or not. It’s magical. As for the lyrics, it’s not what one would typically associate with Ed Sheeran, the balladeer. This is raunchy. But what makes it endearing and kinda makes it easy to sing along to lines such as - ‘Say, boy, let's not talk too much. Grab on my waist and put that body on me’ - and that too loudly without blushing, is that it is unpretentious. That coupled with Sheeran’s vocal charm and candor makes for a song like no other. Even though Sheeran himself has admitted that this is not the best song to come out of his latest album, it is this intrinsic quality that has made Shape of You spread like wildfire and continues to fuel karaoke bars and more visibly, the many choreographies.

On that note, here’s a roundup of our favourite ‘Shape-Of-Yous’ out there.

The latest one that’s blown our minds is this Odissi version!

Disha Patani is one helluva dancer! We’ve seen her shake it to ‘Beat Pe Booty’. Now watch her amp up the heat to Sheeran’s #1 song.

John Philip “Balang” from Philippines, undoubtedly has the best moves to this track. Ellen DeGeneres agrees.

IIT students are not ones to be left behind. Not even in this. Here they are with with their desi version of how the love story played out.

These two professional dancers, Vijetha and Sonali, are all the rage now.

Fans of hip-hop moves will be familiar with sensational choreographers Kyle Hangami, Matt Steffanina and Lia Kim who not only showcase their latest moves to the hottest tracks on our YouTube feed, but also upload tutorials to help us dance like them in front of our mirrors at home.

And this is how one should groove in the car!
