Gisele Bundchen new face of fashion house Givenchy

Gisele Bundchen is finally confirmed as the new face of Givenchy, following months of rumours that she was taking over from Mariacarla Boscono.

Her first ad for the French fashion house is in 'the expression of a love story between a surfer and a mermaid' and she stars alongside two male models (Chris Moore and Simone Nobili) in a gothic, beachside spread with big, black surfboards.

Earlier this year, the Brazilian supermodel was named the world's top earning model for the seventh year, in a list compiled by Forbes.com, Contactmusic reported.

In 2011, her income increased by a huge 20 million dollars to earn 45 million dollars over one year.

Proof of her star status enhancing brands is easy to find. After she became the face of hair care brand Pantene in March 2010, the company's sales went up by 40 per cent in Latin America. (ANI)
