Next friday is going to be crucial for Yami Gautham, as her Radha Mohan directed Gouravam is getting ready for release. This Chandigarh girl made waves in south as a model, but her film career never took off.
All her films like Ullasa Utsaha in Kannada, Hero in Malayalam and Nuvvila in Telugu were disasters at the box-office. However the turning point in her life was when the Hindi film Vicky Donor where she had a pivotal role was appreciated by the critics and film went on to garner awards and was a hit.
Now all eyes are on Yami as she is all set to debut in Tamil with Gouravam. She is paired opposite Sirish, son of noted producer Allu Aravind and younger brother of Telugu young superstar Allu Arjun.
Radha Mohan is all praise for Yami as she is said to have done a fantastic job as an actress in a film based on honour killing. After the release of the film she will be known as an actress of substance.
If Yami is liked by the audiences with her Punjabi good looks, she will be chosen by a Tamil superstar for his next project. She is currently doing a bilingual Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum in Tamil with Jai and its Telugu version Courier Boy Kalyan with Nitin.
