Her affable cackle can fill your spirit with joie de vivre. The child prodigy turned leading actress Hansika has been aptly voted as the Dream Girl of Tamil cinema by a Tamil association in Singapore.
The actress who shot to fame with films like Maappilai, Velayudham and Engeyum Kathal is flying to Singapore tonight to receive the award.
A visibly excited Hansika spoke to sify.com: “ I was floored when the organisers called me up and told me that I’ve been voted as the dream girl of 2011. I am happy that I’ve been able to charm the audiences last year”
Hansika will be back in Chennai after receiving the award to attend the audio launch of her ambitious film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi in which she has a meaty role opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin who is making his debut as an actor. The film is directed by Rajesh with music by Harris Jayaraj.
And 2012 also promises to be exciting for Hansika as she is Suriya’s heroine in his Hari directed Singam-2, STR’s heroine in Vettai Mannan and most probably be Vishal’s girl in Sundar C directed next flick.
