Within a day of the teaser trailer making its rounds, a full-fledged one in HD has arrived. And this one gives us the big picture. And boy, is it fantastic! Set in the deep South in the days of the slave trade, Quentin Tarantino wrangles out a Spaghetti Western complete with his trademark spin. Sardonic one-liners, quick-fire repartee, a story packed into every beautifully shot scene, and of course, a kickass soundtrack!
The latest trailer opens with Jamie Foxx trudging along in chains with fellow slaves to the tune of Johnny Cash's Ain't No Grave. Poignant, and so apt for the era in which the storyline is set, Tarantino has us at 'hello'.
With Christoph Waltz in the picture, the tone heads to funky town. To the beat of James Brown's The Big Payback, we figure out what Tarantino has in store for us, and we're loving it!
