Actor Prithviraj had come in full support of the victim in the actress’ molestation case, which happened last year. It is widely regarded that it was his involvement that led to the expulsion of Dileep from AMMA.
However, Prithviraj was silent in the aftermath of last Sunday’s Annual General Body of AMMA, where the decision to expel Dileep was revoked.
With yesterday’s resignation of four actresses – Bhavana, Geetu Mohandas, Remya Nambeesan and Rima Kallingal from AMMA the issue has took Kerala by storm.
The reaction from Prithviraj was eagerly awaited. In an exclusive interview with ‘The Week’, Prithviraj has said that “I completely understand why Remya, Geethu, Bhavana and Rima resigned from AMMA. I appreciate their courage and applaud the decision. I am with them. There may be people who criticise them but I believe that right or wrong depends on one's perception.”
On being asked why he is silent, the actor responds: “I am not someone who will keep silent if I have to say something. I will certainly make my position clear soon at the right time and space.”
