Prasanna is upbeat on the eve of the release of his new film. In a no holds barred chat session with Sify.com speaks about his new film Achchamundu Achchamundu releasing tomorrow, Friday (July 17)

Achchamundu Achchamundu has been getting a lot of attention and getting rave reviews since its screening at festival circuits. Please comment?
I am very proud to be a part of the film which was very challenging.

Why do you say that it was challenging?
First and foremost I play a character Senthil Kumar a computer software professional much older than what I am in real life. I am a married man with a 7-year-old daughter. It is for the first time that a film is shot in Red One Camera and that too in sync sound with a Hollywood team. I have gone for a new look in the film.

What is this new look?

When Arun Vaidyanathan my director asked me to shave off my moustache, I was hesitant. But when we reached New Jersey, he took me to a few software offices and we never saw a single person with moustache. I wear subtle colored formals throughout with jelled hair and glasses. I had this nerd look and I found out that even in offices there, people behave in a casual manner.

Your chemistry with Sneha who plays your wife is rocking?
Yes, that is one of the highlights of the film. Full credit goes to Arun for the excellent dialogues and let me confess that I was not very comfortable initially doing the romantic scenes with Sneha. I have not acted so close with any heroine so far, but slowly Arun have us the confidence and everything fell into place.

How was John Shea, the Hollywood actor in the film?
He was an amazing guy. He is 60-yearold but is so energetic and hardworking. It was a wonderful team.

Do you think that Achchamundu Achchamundu can put you to the next level and give you that elusive hit?
I am not bothered about hits or flops. I have made mistakes in the past regarding my career moves but I realized it and is more focused. As an actor, Achchamundu Achchamundu will definitely take me one step ahead.

Your upcoming films?
I have completed Nanayam and is working on Baana.
