Varun Sandesh, who is passing through a drubbing in his career these days, has once again tried his hand at a romantic film set in the backdrop of an enchanting hill station.

Venu (Varun), a happy-go-lucky guy, is thoroughly shaken when a friend of his commits suicide over a failed love affair. He begins to hate love and romance .

His father (Bhimineni) sends him to Dakshinagiri, a hill station, where he starts life anew in a coffee shop owned by his family. He helps Malathi (Sukumari), an old acquaintance of his father, and tries to bail her out from debts she had incurred from one Decent Mohan (Tannikella Bharani).

The story takes an expected twist when the old woman?s granddaughter Lasya (Suma) who has a romantic ambition to love a decent guy and get married falls in love with Venu. Will this non-believer in tender human feelings reciprocates his gesture or not? It forms the crux of the story.

Varun Sandesh has struggled a lot to display the varied emotions required for his role. In several scenes, Varun looked stony and lacks the ease that should come with a romantic role.

Suma Bhattacharya is glamorous and does a convincing job. She might get a foothold in the industry. All others do reasonably well.

Despite having a weak storyline and sluggish screenplay, the movie offers superb visuals coupled with good cinematography. Music of Yogeshwar Sharma is enchanting in several scenes, and songs too are nice.

Drawbacks are lack of performance on the part of the artistes in coming out with expressions in scenes when they are required. The second half slips into monotony. The background score pales into nothing in several other scenes.

Editing is average. With no substance in the comedy department, it turns into another disadvantage to the film.

The movie might appeal to the A Class audiences, and might be liked by those who give priority to music and landscapes.

Verdict: Can be watched at leisure
